Apollonia Kotero

Patricia Apollonia Kotero is an American actor, singer, and model. Kotero is famous for her role as co-star in the film of Prince's Purple Rain and for having been the lead singer of the group of girls Apollonia 6. The singer and actress named Apollonia by Prince became one of a number of female musicians in the '80s who benefited from her relationship with the Purple One. Apollonia was finally able to release her debut album in 1988, but her comparatively tame collection of R&B/dance songs failed to be a hit with people who buy music and the album soon vanished out of sight. The singer was still active, though not under the spotlight, as an actress during the decade, albeit with minor roles in television and films. Even an exercise DVD came out.
