Awkwafina

Awkwafina began as a American rapper and singer, making sly songs that addressed questions of race and sexual identity with a comedic twist. Before expanding into Hollywood her career, she had the opportunity to release a number of songs. The actress was born Nora Lum to Chinese and Korean immigrants in Forest Hills Queens her first experience with music came in the form of trumpet. After a classical and jazz education, she delved into hip-hop as a teen. While in college, she took classes in journalism and women's studies. She even spent a short time studying Mandarin at the University of Beijing. After graduating, it wasn't until that she shifted her focus to music. Her song My Vag, a response track to the Mickey Avalon's My Dick gained viral popularity on the Internet in 2012. It was eventually included on her first album Yellow Ranger released in 2014. The album also included popular hits that went viral, such as body positive Queef or winking hometown tour NYC Bitche$. The last track was linked directly to Awkwafina's NYC Travel Guide, which was which was published in 2015. Following a career that was successful as a performer and songwriter, she chose to assume the character of actress. As well as early shows, such Girl Code and Tawk - she appeared in the movies Neighbors 2 Storks and Bad Rap. In 2018, she scored her first major role in a number of high-profile movies like Dude Ocean's Eight and Crazy Rich Asians. The EP debuted in June.
